शान्तं शिवम् अद्वैतम्
Shantam Shivam Advaitam
Peaceful. Auspicious. Non-dual

Self-Knowledge (Ātma-Jñāna)
The Self is not something to be achieved in time. It is to know what you already are.
ॐ पूर्णमदः पूर्णमिदं पूर्णात् पूर्णमुदच्यते I
पूर्णस्य पूर्णमादाय पूर्णमेवावशिष्यते II
Bṛhadāraṇyaka Upaniṣad, Shanti Mantra
That is whole. This is whole. From wholeness, wholeness arises.
When wholeness is removed from wholeness, wholeness alone remains.

Vision
Atmabodham is a space dedicated to the timeless vision of Advaita Vedānta, as revealed in the Upaniṣads, the Bhagavad Gītā, and the teachings of Ādi Śaṅkarācārya. Rooted in the declaration शान्तं शिवम् अद्वैतम्, this work points not to experience or attainment, but to clarity — the removal of ignorance about one’s true nature.

Orientation
The tradition honors the teacher–student dialogue, where clarity arises through precise language, patient listening and honest examination, not through effort, but through insight.
The teaching unfolds in the classical manner:
Śravaṇa — listening to the teaching as it is unfolded
Manana — resolving doubts through inquiry
Nididhyāsana — allowing understanding to become steady
Brihadaranyaka Upanishad, Adhyaya 2, Brahmana 4, Mantra 5, Yajnavalkya
The Self, indeed, is to be known — to be listened to, reflected upon, and contemplated.
O Maitreyī, through the seeing, listening, reflection, and understanding of the Self, everything becomes known.
These are not practices to be performed, but stages in the assimilation of knowledge.
Here, inquiry replaces belief. Seeking gives way to understanding. Knowledge dissolves confusion. Liberation is not a future event. It is the recognition of what has never been absent. This is not a path to become something new. It is an invitation to see what is.
